Mr. Mai leads all Growth activities for Concept Solutions. He has professional experience spanning multiple industries culminating in a powerful combination of technical knowledge and business acumen. Previously, he spent five years in finance with Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. and six years consulting in the Telecommunications Information Technology field. Mr. Mai holds a B.A. in Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University and an M.S. in Finance from George Washington University.
Mr. Krahulec is the Chief Operating Officer for Concept Solutions. Since founding the company in 1999, John has been involved in every aspect of the company including Growth, Delivery, and Support. His progressive management approach combined with his extensive expertise in information technology allows CS to deliver superior customer service by way of a thriving, caring environment where our employees can grow and excel. Mr. Krahulec is experienced in full software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevSecOps, Agile and MicroServices development, and CMMi and ISO processes. Mr. Krahulec holds a B.S. in Management Science and Management from Virginia Tech.
Mr. Schaberg leads the Support activities for Concept Solutions’ internal operations, including IT, Finance and HR. He has extensive experience in designing and implementing high-availability database systems for the enterprise; functional and technical analysis of mission critical systems; design, testing, performance analysis, and risk assessment. Mr. Schaberg received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University.
Mr. Schweer has more than 15 years of experience starting as a Systems Engineer and working his way to a Program Manager, a Director and finally a Vice President overseeing a portfolio of over $100M for Peraton, Inc. Mr. Schweer‘s experience in growing full and open contracts will be valuable as he oversees Growth for Concept Solutions, particularly focused on Defense/Civil contracts. Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree from Georgetown University.
Mr.Cunha is Vice President of Aerospace for Concept Solutions’ Aerospace sector, a premier provider of mission and decision support systems and professional solutions. Mr. Cunha oversees the Concept Solutions Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and adjacent services accounts. He has also served as a Program Manager within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on several highly visible and impactful projects, including those within NextGen and Air Traffic Organization (ATO). Prior to that, Mr. Cunha spent a decade in commercial and business aviation operations. Mr. Cunha is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and earned a bachelor’s degree in Management and a master’s degree in International Commerce and Public Policy from George Mason University.
Mr. Wright has more than 25 years of information technology experience across roles spanning software development, task leadership, project management, Technical Director, small business Chief Operating Officer, and Senior Solution Architect. Mr. Wright will support strategic growth initiatives, as well as help guide our technology approach and innovation. Bill holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Industrial and Systems Engineering: Human Factors Option from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Mr Shields has extensive experience in web-based aeronautical information systems, NOTAMs, and geographic information systems, database design, data management, and deployment. Previously at AOL, Mr. Shields served as the technical lead and designer for a variety of AOL news and entertainment content sites, including CBS and ABC News, CBS and ABC Sports, MTV, Nickelodeon, The Late Show with David Letterman, and Electronic Arts. Mr. Shields studied Information Systems Management at George Mason University.
Ms. Burns has nearly 17 years of experience in Human Resources. During her tenure, she has held roles such as Recruiting and Benefits Consultant and Human Resources and Recruiting Manager. She has successfully supported an employee base of 150 people up to 800, as well as migrating to new back office systems. Robyn holds a Business Management degree from Virginia Tech.
Mr. Lavu has over two decades of experience supporting large, multinational government contractors and growing small businesses. He has presented seminars on numerous government contracting subjects such as time & materials contracting, small business recertification, and earned value management. He educates the next generation of legal professionals as an Adjunct Professor at the American University School of Law.
Mr. Lavu’s expertise in government contracts comes from a diverse mix of legal, business, and consulting viewpoints. As a senior member of the government contracts consulting practice at Aronson & Company, Mr. Lavu provided strategic direction to clients in various industries. Prior to that, he served as General Counsel of Command Federal, where he successfully navigated various venture capital-backed acquisitions.
Mr. Lavu proudly served as a soldier in the U.S. Army Reserves and graduated from Airborne School in Ft. Benning, GA. He received a JD from Georgetown University Law Center where he focused on contracts and intellectual property.
