ConceptSolutions Wins DHS Small Business Achievement Award for 2nd Consecutive Year

Reston, Virginia — April 20, 2010 —Concept Solutions, LLC. (www.Concept-Solutions.com), an information management and enterprise Web 2.0 technology consulting company serving government, military, and commercial organizations, announced today it has won the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Small Business Achievement Award for the 2nd consecutive year.

Phong Mai, President and CEO and John Krahulec, Executive Vice President and COO of ConceptSolutions received the award on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at a ceremony held at DHS offices. The Department of Homeland Security selected ConceptSolutions as a 2010 Award recipient for its efforts in 2009 providing technical support to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). According to DHS, “ConceptSolutions demonstrated their commitment to quality by working proactively to help the TSA achieve FPDS-NG [Federal Procurement Data System—Next Generation] validation, delivering the annual certification report on schedule and under budget…Several best practices have been implemented…These include improvements in contract file operations, reducing FPDS-NG input errors, [and] development of reports to monitor data accuracy…The team has also developed comprehensive FPDS-NG training to be provided to all contracting divisions in FY 2010.”
The DHS Small Business Achievement Award, which was also awarded to ConceptSolutions in 2009 for efforts in 2008, is presented to small businesses for outstanding commitment to the homeland security mission. ConceptSolutions is one of fourteen companies from across the country to be awarded the 2010 annual award.
